Yazoo’s Reconnected tour arrived in NYC last week. Wednesday and Thursday at Terminal 5 and then Saturday night at the Beacon theatre. I attended Thursday night’s show and got some pics with my new iPhone. I had great balcony seats for Saturday and was psyched to see it again and get some shots with my Nikon. On Saturday security checked thru my bag and said not to use the flash (duh!). There were no signs posted about photography so I didn’t expect a problem.
My friend Rob and I had a great 3rd row center balcony seats. About 5 songs into the show our view was blocked when 2 assholes in the first row decided to stand. People behind us tried to shout the assholes down, but they wouldn't budge. A security goon arrived and asked them to sit, then escorted them out when they wouldn’t take their seats. Unfortunately he asked me to step out as well. He made me show the photos I'd taken and said I had to delete them. Rather than delete them all with one click I made him wait as I deleted one at a time. When I returned to my seat I switched out the card, waited till the coast was clear then took more shots.
